BAPTISM

If you've decided to follow Jesus, then baptism is your next step.

We would love to celebrate with you as you declare to the world that you belong to Jesus. If you have questions about baptism, or would like to know what we believe, then check out the common questions below.

Baptism for Adults and Students (Age 12 and Older)

We hold baptisms several times a year. If you would like to be baptized, please complete the contact form and we will connect with you to set up an interview.

Baptism for Kids (Ages 7-12)

We want to make sure your kids understand what baptism is (and isn’t) and why it’s important. If your child has made the decision to follow Jesus and wants to be baptized, we encourage you to set up a meeting with our executive director, Luwanna Dice.

Baptism for Kids Under 7

Cedar Grove prefers children under the age of seven wait to be baptized. We have baptized children younger than seven, after a short conversation with a pastor to make sure the child truly understands the meaning of being water baptized. If you are interested in this, please email office@cedargrove.org to set up a time for you, your son/daughter and a pastor to meet.

We at Cedar Grove also encourage parents with infants or young children to consider Child Dedication. This is a moment in our services where parents formally call upon God’s blessing for their child and publicly commit to raise him or her in faith. You can find out about the next available dedication service by emailing office@cedargrove.org
