What time is it?

Romans 12

Knowing the correct time allows us to live well.

The specific time for the Doctor appointment is crucial to getting the proper care. Knowing how serious the symptoms motivate us to make the appointment. Knowing what the time, the situation allows us to live well.

At the end of regulation in Game 1 of the NBA finals, one payer lost track of the situation, the time, the score, and therefore had the wrong strategy. A mistake was made. The fans were merciless. Hypocritical as well. Because… We have all made errors because we didn’t recognize the time. And the result--we didn’t live well.

Knowing the correct time affects seasons of life as well. Moses said:
So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
Psa. 90:12

Knowing the time helps us organize our day. Knowing the times and seasons helps us order our lives. When we know what time it is we can live well.

Romans 12:14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. 17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. 18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. 19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20 To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
